Dillon Brabants

Behavioral Health Tech & Group Facilitator

Dillon Brabants is our Behavioral Health Tech and a Group Facilitator. He brings to this position and field a depth of experience from his being in long term recovery for almost a decade and from working with thousands of people who have sought his counsel and guidance in their recovery and healing from addiction. In his journey of working with those suffering from addiction he has been intimately involved with creating multiple groups, meetings and workshops dedicated to creating the greatest possible way of introducing those in need to what will allow them to truly become recovered, well, and sane individuals, permitting them to experience authentic liberation from all addictions, not limited to drugs and alcohol, but anything
that may hinder them in living the life they desire without disorder. He is also a certified recovery coach.

This is Dillon’s first experience of working in the field of intensive PHP and IOP, as for the last 4 years Dillon was influential in creating a 501c(3) Non-profit, Morning Star Recovery that is dedicated to providing free intensive 12 Step recovery and housing to men and women suffering from addiction while also supporting them in Catholic faith-based healing and community as they provide for all their needs until they are completed with the majority of their recovery work and are able to financially support themselves. He is still currently the Mission Director for this organization and is often working after hours to assist their communities and those who live in them to ensure they can continue with their Mission of providing free and high
quality care to those who do not have the means to go to treatment.

As of September 21, 2024 Dillon joyfully entered into the vocation of Matrimony with his wife Andrea after discerning the call to marriage together. This was not what they first felt called too though, as they were both discerning consecrating their life to God in the religious life by entering into the monastery and convent, but God had other plans, and with the help of their spiritual directors were able to complete their vocation discernment together by becoming one in Matrimony. They are currently expecting their first child together, but Dillon has already had the joy of being a father to his 13 year old daughter Isabella.

Dillon believes the greatest gift he ever received was his addiction and the innumerable sufferings that came in consequence of it. As BHT and Group Facilitator it is Dillon’s joy to be able to work hand on with those in the difficult stages of early recovery. From Dillon’s experience of faith and his own healing in recovery these moments have profoundly impacted him, for it is in these moments of suffering, interior anguish, and trial, that allow people to bond
and grow together in human connection and by means of this we open ourselves to the depth of extraordinary spiritual experience in every present moment, paving the way for the ordinary to become extraordinary.

In Dillon’s free time, if he is not serving the poor or those in need of recovery, you will find him enjoying rest and peace in silent prayer or reading works on mystical theology, and lives of The Saints with his wife. He frequently, if not able to daily, attends to The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, where he often serves as an altar server in his parish community. His most cherished time outside of church and prayer are with his family and loved ones, especially with his beloved daughter.
